AMA Daniel Strauss Fundraisering Seminar
On Saturday November 26th 2016 Adaptive Martial Arts hosted the first Seminar to raise funds.
This was taken by Daniel Strauss "The Raspberry Ape" at Gracie Barra Bath.
The seminar was a great success raising a grand total of £592 and putting us in a great place to start 2017.
Big thank you to Daniel for donating his time and travelling all the way to Bath to present to every one, thank you to every one who attended and a big thank you to Professor Salvatore Pace for allowing us to use Gracie Barra Bath as a venue.
South West England's Strongest Adaptive Man/Woman
Sunday, November 20th saw competitors compete at Trojan Fitness Bristol for the title of South West Englands Strongest Adaptive Man/Woman.
This was a full blown battle with 4 events,

Log Press for Reps
100 KG Farms hold - head to head (men only)
Plate hold (ladies only)
Atlas stone to should (70KG men, 40KG Women)
The Mens title was won by Dave and the Ladies by Fran.

On the 1st October Gina and Chris attended Warriors Assemble, the celebratory gathering of adaptive athletes in the UK.
Warriors Assemble recognises martial artists who have overcome adversity to further their art. The night is organised and hosted by Anthony Pillage, with guest host Alex Reid, an MMA fighter and celebrity of Big Brother.

Adaptive Boxing Organisation - "The Beginning"
On Saturday August 27th 2016 The Adaptive Boxing Organisation held it's first competion called "The Beginning".
Chris And Gina went along to talk about Gina's experiences, how this brought about Adaptive Martial Arts and what is next for her.
As part of this talk Chris and Gina also did some showcase Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Grapplers Heart - 2016
These are a selection of photographs taken by Chris Hopkins at the second Grapplers Heart competition.
This competition took place in April 2016 in Total MMA in Tustin, California.
This was the second year of running for the first adaptive only Grappling competition.
Our CEO Gina came home to the UK with a total of 2 Gold medals in Gi and NoGi neuromuscular and 2 bronze medals in Gi and NoGi absolutes.

This competition took place in April 2015 in Renzo Gracie's accademy in Brooklyn, New York.
This was the first adaptive only Grappling competition.
Our CEO Gina came home to the UK with Gold in nueromuscular NoGi and Bronze in Nueromuscular NoGi absolute, against the men.

Gina is competing against Brandon Ryan in the nueromuscular catagory. Winning this brought Gina her first Gold Medal.
